Hi!

We have just found a new, mannose-specific lectin in Lactobacillus
plantarum. By this lectin, yeast particles (Saccharomyces cereviseae) are
agglutinated, the agglutination is reversed by mannose.

The paper has been accepted in Appl. Environm. Microbiol., but we don't
know exactly when it will appear. The first author is Ingegerd Adlerverth
and the title is "A mannose-specific adherence mechanism in Lactobacillus
plantarum conferring adherence to colonic HT-29 cells".

Write us if you need a copy of the manuscript before it appears in the
journal.
