Ig's in earwax and ear infections

I understand that there is a single locus which controls the consistency
and content of earwax, such that caucasoids have wet earwax containing IgA
while some oriental groups, eg Japanese, have dry earwax containing IgG.
Does anyone know if there are any associated differences in susceptibility
to external ear infections?
