Hi, I'm a PhD student working on a glycoprotein produced in animal cell
culture. The question that I have for the wealth of knowledge on the internet
is has anybody had experience with growing NS0 mouse myeloma lines in a serum
free media. At the moment we have a series of supplements for the cell line
which I have been told absolutely requires cholesterol (or other lipids can
be substituted, i.e. linoleic acid). What I was after was any approximate
concentrations that cholesterol should be used at, as well as any other handy
tips for culturing in a serum-free enviroment. Thanks in advance.
Matthew Reece-Ford.
