UNIVERSITY OF BRISTOL
RESEARCH STUDENTSHIP
Human Feto-Placental Development Research Group
Applications are invited for a 3 year PhD Scholarship to begin 1st October
1996 in the above research group which is based in the Department of
Obstetrics and Gynaecology in St Michaels Hospital. The group is
interested in the role of a variety of immune-related proteins in human
reproduction and pregnancy and has strong collaborative links with other
groups both in the University of Bristol and elsewhere. The project will
employ a range of cellular, biochemical, and molecular techniques to
examine signal transduction through GPI-anchored complement regulatory
proteins in human amnion and trophoblast cells and cell lines. The aim is
to understand more about the role of these protein in normal and pre-term
labour.
