Q: Software for ELISA plate readers

Hi:

We recently got a Biotek plate reader with KC3 software to help
analyze the data. We are finding that the documentation is weak and
the software somewhat hard to understand and use. Are there
alternatives that are more useful? Also, is it wrong to ask for the
source code so we can modify programs for our particular assays?

Thanks for any help,

Don
