You could try electrophoresis in agarose gels [horizontal or vertical] with
MetaPhor XR agarose [FMC Bioproducts]. They claim it can resolve proteins up
to 600 kDa. Coomassie Blue staining and electroblotting seem to be
compatible with it. No, I haven't tried it myself yet but I intend to, to
resolve multimers of a 65 kDa protein.
