I think you are talking about the study on CRP (C-reactive protein), where
people who had a tendency to have high CRP was also more prone to get heart
disease later in life.
In this case it is quite optimistic to claim that you can predict heart
attack, but this test which is an immunologic test (allmost like
sedimentation rate, SR) is able to tell who have an increased risk for
cardiovascular disease.
