CTLs: Why aren't CTLs injured during target cell lysis?

CTLs are not killed during the lytic process. However, CTLs can be
killed by other CTLs and by high concentrations of perforin or
CTL-derived cell toxin.

Why then, are CTLs not injured during target cell lysis?

thank you for your reply.
