Adults have mostly CD5- b-lymphocyttes, but before the age of 2 a lot of
b - lymphocyttes are CD5+. Is it so that CD5- lymphocyttes are better than
the other in mounting a immunresponse agains a t-cell independent antigen
like a pneumococcal polysaccharide.
Does anybody know what regulates these populations and the maturation of
b- cells.
How good does the population of lymphocyttes in the spleen reflect the
population in the blood?
