Why Are CTLs themselves unaffected by CTL lysis???

The function of differentiated CTLs is to lyse target cells.
However, when this occurs, the CTL itself is not injured even though it
comes into contact with the enzymes and granules that it released in
order to kill the target cell. What causes this CTL resistance to
CTL-mediated lysis???

One explanation that I have come across has been the possibility
that CTLs express high levels of membrane proteins that disassemble the
pore-forming complex.

Any comments or thoughts on the subject, as well as any insight as to
where I can find more information would be greatly appreciated.
