Can anyone please tell me what the current belief is on blocking factors
in cancer patients? I am referring to the work of Hellstrom in the
1960s which demonstrated animals bearing tumours possess an
immunosuppressive activity in thier plasma which only suppresses
lymphocyte response against the cancer cells but not other antigens.
Hellstrom postulated that these blocking factors may be antigen-antibody
complexes or soluble antigens.
