I am attending my last 5th year in Bio-molecular Biology at Science
faculty, University of L'Aquila, Italy.
I am seeking a professor working in peptides field who may propose me
a thesis about the synthesis of one or more of these compounds and the
eventual test of them for any biological activity.
I have an experience of 8 months spent at the Free University of
Brussels, Belgium, dept. of Organic Chemistry, where i was trained in
Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis, characterization by Mass Spectrometry
(F.A.B. & elettro-spray) and purification by HPLC of peptides.
My interest is in working on a topic where both the chemical and
biological aspects may be equally evaluated.
For geographical reasons i privilege Rome and his surroundings and
possibly some low-cost facilities for students, where i could live so
that i may not travel day by day.
Universitary departments have higher priority than private companies.
My intentions is starting to work on my thesis from next september
1998.

Salve!
Sono iscritto al V° anno in Sc. Biologiche presso l'Universita' de
L'Aquila, canale biochimico-molecolare.
Sto cercando un eventuale Prof. che lavori nel campo dei peptidi e che
sia interessato a prospettarmi una tesi di laurea che riguardi la
sintesi di uno o piu' di questi composti dei quali si vogliano testare
le eventuali proprieta' biologiche.
Ho alle spalle un esperienza di 8 mesi trascorsi presso la Libera
Universita' di Bruxelles -VUB- dip. di Chimica Organica, dove sono
stato istruito sulla tecnica di Sintesi di Peptidi in Fase Solida
(SPPS), caratterizzazione mediante Spettrometria di Massa (F.A.B. ed
elettro-spray), analisi e purificazione mediante HPLC.
Mi interesserebbe una tesi che prediliga in egual misura gli aspetti
chimici e biologici.
Per ragioni geografiche prediligo la zona di Roma, ovvero una
struttura che potesse eventualmente ospitarmi per l'intero periodo a
costi contenuti.
Hanno priorita' le strutture universitarie rispetto a quelle private e
comunque dotate dell' apparato sperimentale necessario.
E' mia intenzione cominciare a lavorare attivamente dal mese di
Settembre '98.
