TH1/TH2 Subset Regulation?

Can anyone out there provide some info, and preferably a few references on the
differentiation of THo cells into TH1 and TH2 subsets?

I am aware of the role that IL4 and IL12 seem to play in the development of
THo cells into TH2 and TH1 subsets, respectively. What is the major source of
these cytokines during the development of an infection? Since the TH2
response tends to support a defense against soluble antigens (ie:
extracellular bacteria), would antigen- bound B-cells be a source of IL4? In
a similar way, would antigen+MHCI bound Tc cells be a source of IL12?

I have also come across two compounds refered to as B7-1 and B7-2. Has anyone
heard of these? I believe they are also implicated in THo development into
TH1 and TH2 cells.

Any help or references anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you!
