Hi, there,
Just wondering how many animals you are working with? Not all of the animals
have the same response after vaccination. What kind of viral antigen is in
your DNA vaccine construct? Have you changed the vaccination route? Have
your animals been boosted? How many times? You mentioned that the humoral
immunoty appeared initially, then disappeared. Do you mean by the same trial
or another trial different animals.
DNA vaccine has been known to generate good cellular immunity. However, it
may not be a good way to generate a very high titers of antibody with the
exception of HBV surface antigen, which is a secreted form of protein and can
be detected in the serum. But I might miss some important info regarding the
high titers of antibody resopnse after DNA vaccination. If you are aware any
of the articles or references, please let me know.
