Just for you and your colleagues information:
Neutralizing and enhancing activities of human respiratory syncytial virus-specific
antibodies.
Clin Diagn Lab Immunol. 1996 May;3(3):280-6.
PMID: 8705669; UI: 96336082.
The effect of enhancing antibodies on TNF interactions with its specific receptor:
consequences for in vitro TNF antiviral activity.
Biotechnol Ther. 1994;5(1-2):27-45.
PMID: 7703831; UI: 95218613.
Antibodies to HA and NA augment uptake of influenza A viruses into cells via Fc
receptor entry.
Virology. 1991 May;182(1):211-9.
PMID: 2024464; UI: 91220653.
In vitro enhancement of respiratory syncytial virus infection of U937 cells by human
sera.
J Gen Virol. 1989 Jan;70 ( Pt 1):89-96.
PMID: 2732688; UI: 89279203.
In vitro enhancement of respiratory syncytial virus infection of U937 cells by human
sera.
J Gen Virol. 1989 Jan;70 ( Pt 1):89-96.
PMID: 2732688; UI: 89279203.
Enhancing antibody: a novel component of the immune response.
Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 1982 Jun;79(12):3828-32.
PMID: 6179088; UI: 82247944.
This ignores the extensive literature associated with HIV and associated
retroviruses where much of the recent work on ehhancing antibodies has been carried
out. However, I thought the references to other fields of research might be less
controversial.
