Well Tyson, it kind of depends on what system you are asking about. I
assume you are asking about memory T cells that have been polarized to a
Th1 (inflamitory response- IFN-g, IL-2, and TNF-b) vs Th2 (IL-4, IL-10,
IL-5) response. The length of memory cell survival was already
referenced by preious respondents. As far as the effect of polarized T
cell responses, there are some excellent reviews published by A. Abbas
(nature, 96) and A. O'Garra: "Tcell subsets in autoimmunity" (Immunity?
97) on these subjects
