Dear Professor :

My name is Wang Yi. I am a graduate student of Tianjin Medical
University(P.R.China) and will graduate with a master's degree in July
2000. The major of my study is Pathophysiology, Endocrinology and
Immunology. My master thesis is to discuss the dynamic change of
immune function in iodine deficiency rats from the view of cellar
immunity, humoral immunity and red-cell immunity. My graduation paper
is going on smoothly. The first draft of my paper has been finished
and is modified by my tutors---Professor Chen Zu-pei(English Version)
and Professor Tian En-jiang (Chinese Version).

During my graduate study period,I have many fruitful academic
achievements and show good skills in laboratory skills such as basic
biological,immunological,pathophysiological techniques. I have
published one review in Chinese Journal of Control of Endemic Diseases
and four articles in Chinese Journal of Endemiology. My other review "
Autoantigens of Autoimmune thyroiditis" was accepted by Foreign
Medical Science( Endocrinology Part)and will be published in next
year. I have attended one national academic meeting and two university
meetings. In the 1998 Annual Academic Meeting of Tianjin Medical
University, I won Excellent Article by the English presentation and
oral defense of my thesis. My GRE Score is very high ( V+Q=1380 ).The
detail of my academic background is in my resume which is attaching
this E-mail in the format of word 97.

In order to convert my study into full play, further education is a
necessity. If possible, my main interest in the future will be
immunology. But my graduate education is basic, If you feel that I'm
suited for some other areas, any of your suggestion would highly
appreciated.

Since I am not able to support myself while engaging in the graduate
study in your department, my possibility of enrollment will depend on
financial aids from your graduate school.

Thank you for your consideration and I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely
Wang Yi
