P3/NSI/1-Ag4-1, that I have not come across any aberant PCR products from
hybridomas made with this cell line which can be identified as the heavy
chain from the parental 'MOPC21 P3-X63-Ag-8' cell line.
Thus my assumption is that the heavy chain message has been lost or
truncated.
Whilst working in Cesar's laboratory, Bruce Wright and I 'derived' the
non-producing cell line from 'NSI' called by us 'NS0'. This has a point
mutation in the light chain message which generates a stop codon. There is
no evidence of a heavy chain message in this cell line either.
