Hello,
I plan to gain antibodies by immuning animals with a polypeptide whose
gene sequence has been known. I am thinking of expressing only a part of
this polypeptide possessing antigenicity as antigen. It is reported that
the last 20 amino acids of other peptide has been used. I would be
grateful if you would like to tell me whether this final portion of the
polypeptide is hydrophilic and easily accessed by antibodies. Can I
express the corresponding genes of my protein as antigen? Or which part
else of the protein is better?
with best regards
