The danger of "Danger"

Thanks.

Actually, I am perhaps more interested in inflammatory aspects of
immune activity than in immune activity per se. My search (via Ovid CD
for past 4 yrs of Medline) turned up a lot of articles relating IL-1 to
apoptosis, but mostly in terms of IL-1 triggering apoptosis or
sometimes blocking it when triggered by other means, only 2 or 3
reported the reverse sequence, and I believe these were special cases:
apoptopic macrophages releasing stored IL-1.

Any refs to apoptosis of other cells triggering IL-1 production,
activation (cleavage by ICE?), and/or release involving other types of
cells?
