The 3T3 line was developed in outbred NIH Swiss mice. However, a
published study by Ivanyi in 1987 (Ivany1,D. Antigenic phenotype of NIH
3T3 cell line. J.Natl.Cancer.Inst. 79: 149-53; 1987) determined it to
have the H-2q haplotype (i.e. the q allele at H-2D, H-2K and H-2L Class
I loci). Ah, it takes me back to those good old days of H-2 serology...
Cheers. --Dom Spinella
