Why is it necessary to siliconise glassware used in PBMC isolation and what is a good protocol. I have heard of the following: Immerse glassware in 1% silicon solution for 10 secs Rinse x 10 in distilled water Autoclave Is fumed or amorphous silica used? Thanks for any help
