Immune Response

Ralph,
I think you are confusing issues a bit.
First, An inflammatory response is not the same thing as an immune
response. Inflammation occurs regardless of whether a substance is
introduced for the first time or tenth time. This response does not
exhibit memory; rather, it is a non-specific reaction induced by tissue
damage. Most vaccines provide excellant immunity with no inflammatory
reactions at the injection site; indeed, inflammatory reactions are an
unwanted side effect, and have no bearing on the potency of the vaccine.
Your response to the "invader" sounds like a type 1 hypersensitivity
reaction, similar to that seen in individuals who are allergic to bee
stings, penicillin, or a thousand other foreign substances.
Vitamin C does not carry free radicals out of the body. Instead
antioxidants like vit C and vit E are free radical scavengers, whose job
is to reduce oxygen free radicals to water before these radicals can
oxidize vital cellular components. But again this has no bearing on
immunity.
I would say that you have a bit of homework to do on these subjects, and
I would strongly suggest you read some recent texts, rather than relying
on web articles and other sources of half truths and outright falsehoods.
