$58 million to "decode" the mouse genome, reports Nicholas Wade in today's
NY Times. He means, of course, to "sequence" the mouse genome. Those of us
who want to decode the mouse genome, just need (i) a few hundred
representative parts of the sequence, and (ii) something better than the
zero $ we now have.
