cd 25 or cd 38 as a marker of t-cell activation

Hello,
if read about using expression of cd 25 to detect t-cell activation. also
there was a paper which compared brdu-elisa, 3h-thymdin inssertation and
expression of cd38 as an indicator of t-cell activation.
Does anyone know something, why I shouldn't use cd25 or cd38 for detection
of tcell-activation in rabbits?
