Dear Andy,
Here are some of the possible uses of DID and IEP:
A. DID:
1. Comparing different antigens in a solution having mixture of
antigens.
2. To check specificity of the antisera.
B. SRID:
1. Quantitation of the antigen.
C. IEP:
1. To resolve serum proteins.
2. To check monospecificity of the antisera.
Disadvantage:NEEDS LARGE AMOUNT OF SERA.
