Dinarello, C.A., Biologic basis for interleukin-1 in disease. Blood, 1996. 87(6): p. 2095-147 tells about a putative membrane channel for cleaved IL-1B - should be the same for IL-18.. I don't know if there is better knowledge about this question today. Stefan
