I'm searching for info on sulfa and sulfur allergies due to my 81 yr old
father's allergy issues. He was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis 25+ yrs
ago ... was given a sulfa or sulfur drug and ended up in the hospital due to
an allergic reaction ... very serious reaction. He was told then to tell
any medical personnel prescribing drugs in the future that he had this
allergy. Recently due to other family health issues he has experimented
with MSM, DMSO and clay packs, using minimal amounts ... the MSM, DMSO
caused immediate rashes, bentonite clay did not cause a reaction, but when
mixed with a European clay for a clay pack caused a rash. Don't know what
this means and don't have a chemistry background, but this is a case where
the individual trys to stay away from sulfa and sulfur. He always teased
his doctor that he was trying to kill him 25 yrs ago.
