It's probably the buffers who make the difference. The column material
should be the same, either a silica membrane or on iex resin. If you
know how to mix the buffers, you're fine. At least, you could give it
a try and tell us the results.

Anyone out here already has tried what happens if you switch RNeasy
and DNeasy columns?
