One simple method is to place your supernatant into a dialysis bag and  
dialyse against solid PEG or Sephadex. This will suck out most of the  
water and ions, but leave the virus in the bag. Be carefull though, it is  
easy to end up with a dry bag, so look at your sample from time to time.
