Tegretol, while used for trigeminal neuralgia, is also used as
an anticonvulsant for epileptics.
Among the known side effects of the medication are alterations in
liver function......it could be that your "susceptibility" to
alcohol while on medication is related to that.
HOWEVER.....some of the effects you describe may also be due\
to overprescription of the medication. PLEASE....talk with your
physician about the problems...
