Lamark v. Darwin
A friend of ability learn could be dependent on the environment in which
the parents were in. The idea is that nature would alter protein expression
in the eggs and sperm such that the indivuals propensity for learning and
memory are enhanced. This suggests that learning and memory capabilities
are transmitted in a Lamarkian manner rather than over several generations
(Darwinian).
To me this may be plausible since the environment can effect many differing
cell system (ie., hormonal, nervous, immune). So why not the sex cells?
