I don't agree that GABA is a ligand for the benzodiazepine receptor. The GABA
receptor complex has various bindings sites, of which the GABA and the
benzodiazepine sites are different. However, the Diazepam binding inhibitor
(Endocrinology vol 129(3), 1991, 1481-1488) binds to the benzodiazepine binding
