Electrophysiology Software

I am currently in the market to buy a software package for data
acquisition and control in electrophysiology. I need something that can
randomly vary and counterbalance timing parameters within a given range
from trial to trial. We are currently using programs written in Asyst
that do an adequate job but the guy who knows how to maintain them is
leaving the lab.

I would be quite interested in hearing opinions from anyone with
experience in using any of the commercially available products such as
Datawave.
