Well here are some suggestions:
1) if you have a highly specific label as you indicated then use the laser
but watchout - just the heat alone makes this very unreliable
2) there is a Michagan company that makes a laser device that allows you
to shoot one cell ata a type without excess heat - if you are still
interested when you get this mail I will look it up for you - someone at
Harvard or MIT or MGH must have one
3) sometimes rapidly growing cells are more heat sensitive - so heat shock
might work - but this is more of an art than a science
4) sometimes Rhodamine 123 - a mitochondrial die remains in fast growing
cells and it will either kill them sua sponte or again you can use a laser
or possibly heat
