Has anybody checked out if glial-cell-line derived neurotrophic factor
may increase recovery?  Lars Olson at Karolinska Institute in Stockholm,
Sweden and colleagues suggest that GDNF can protect against and even
reverse deterioration in Parkinson's disease.  This may work for others.
