How about synaptophysin (mAb SY38 available from several sources
including Boehringer Mannheim) whichis a synaptic vesicle protein
or SNAP-25 (mAb from Sternberger and Sternberger SMI 81), SNAP-25 stands
for synaptosomal associated protein of 25 kDa.

Both of these work pretty well in Westerns at dilutions about1:1000
or greater.
