I am a medical student in the University of Aberdeen Medical School,
Scotland. I am very interested in medical research, particularly those invole
CNS.
Could some one kindly let me know whether it is possible to conduct an ex in vitro
study on ischaemic neuronal damage and neuronal protection.
I am interested in doing a following project:
Aim: To test whether a candidate chemical is a neuroprotector at times of
neuronal ishaemia and anoxia.
Control: exposing neuronal cell culture to ischaemia for certain duration and then assessing the
damage.
Test: exposing neuronal cell culture bathed in the candidate chemical to
ischaemia to same duration as before, and there after assessing the neuronal
damage.
Analysis: Whether the neuronal damage in the teat is less than the control.
If you know of the methodology to conduct the above mentioned experiment, could
