I have worked with a synthetic inositol trisphosphate, which shows very similar binding characteristics to those of InsP4, although it can not mobilize cellular calcium. We are still in the process of characterizing this molecule, if your research is related with any endogenous inositol phosphates (molecular aspect) or and interested in this molecule (with significant phramacological action). Please reply. By the way, its chemical name is Ins(1,2,6)trisphosphate.
