Developmental study: cell death

There was an entire issue of the Journal of Neurobiology devoted to
cell death, it came out in 1992, and was edited by Martin Raff and Carla
Shatz (and others).  There were a lot of good reviews and I think some
of them dealt with competition for trophic factors and the role of
activity.
