I am curious as to how immunosuppression is undertaken when
fetal tissue transplants are given to patients. So far in
medical school, we have been taught to think of the brain as an
"immunologically privileged" site. So, I am not quite clear
what kind of immune response would be mounted against fetal
tissue, and how such a response would be suppressed. Any
feedback would be appreciated.
Just curious,
