Hi,
my friend has had a tumor (melanoma) at the dura (the skin) of
the spinal cord (L3-5) which was removed successfully.
Unfortunately there remained some loss of sensibility in the legs,
a paralysed bladder and rectum.
Additionally his optic nerves were heavily damaged due to a high
pressure of brain water (now regulated with a shunt):
the right eye is blind, the left one has large blind areas.
Doctors say he can only wait and see (months, years)
whether the nerves will get better.
Can somebody give us some advise how he can perhaps stimulate his
nerves and to help this regeneration?
We would be very grateful for your help!
Birgit
