Have you tried purchasing Superfrost slides from Fisher? In my hands
they've worked better than any gelatin recipe for most types
of sections: cryostat, freezing microtome, vibratome, and for the
applications of immunohistochemistry, thymidine autoradiography, and in
situ hybridization. I would assume they're available in the u.k., but I'm
not sure. Good luck!
