Prozac (Fluoxetine) is a serotonin-reuptake inhibitor. Such effect
apparently permits the neurotransmitter to linger about the synapse for a
longer time. This seems to effect serotonin receptor binding, and possibly
a decrease in the number of receptors over time. Yet, the relationship
between this process, and the allieviation of symptoms is far from being
elucidated.
