Drs. Joan Lorden and Mark Ledoux at the University of Alabama in
Birmingham are currently studying dystonia in a rat model.  A medline
search on their names should turn up some publications that will be
interesting to you.  Also, I seem to remember that there is a foundation
for the study of dystonia and related movement disorders, although the
name escapes me.
