PhD Studentships available

Research Studentships in Developmental Neurobiology,
Anatomy & Cell Biology, UMDS, Guy's Hospital Campus, London
A number of PhD Studentships will be available in the Division of
Anatomy and Cell Biology from October 1995. The Division is a
flourishing centre for neurobiological research, with several
autonomous groups, offering an extensive range of facilities
and expertise in cellular and molecular neurobiology.
Studentships will be allocated between the following projects:
Myelination in the developing central nervous system
Prof Martin Berry
Axonal growth and regeneration: cellular and molecular studies
Dr Jim Cohen
Axon Pathfinding of Motorneurons
Dr Sarah Guthrie
Early phenotype choices by neuronal precursors
Prof Andrew Lumsden
Role of fibroblast growth factors in CNS regionalisation
Dr Ivor Mason
The following conditions apply to these studentships
> Only students from UK or EC are eligible
> UK Students : Fees and stipend (MRC rate)
> EC Students : Fees ONLY, unless resident in UK for 3 years
> Closing Date : 31 March 95
Applicants should have or expect to obtain an
upper second or first class honours degree.
