MISSING PERSON: FREDERIC J. BROWN
Frederic Julian Brown disappeared from the home of his parents in the
Detroit, Michigan (USA) area on August 20, 1992. He is now 36 years old,
has brown eyes and black hair, and is balding. He is 5' 8", weighed 155
pounds at the time of his disappearance, and was wearing a brown nylon
jacket with a "Kendale Lakes C.C." emblem on the front.
Fred suffers from temporal lobe epilepsy. Beginning in 1988, his
condition was almost totally controlled by a combination of tranxene and
mezantoin. Without these medications, he may well suffer from absence
seizures, periods of amnesia with disorientation, and an occasional grand
mal.
Fred's disappearance occurred after a summer of increasing despondency
associated with his not having passed the final internship in a masters
degree program in rehabilitation counseling. Despite a national search,
nothing has been heard from or about him.
He has a degree in finance, worked in a bank in Miami from 1986-1990, has
been an auditor in a hotel, and is not averse to doing hard physical
labor. Fred is gregarious, plays the piano and a good game of tennis, and
is an exceptional chess player. He is eager to help people with problems,
and, while in Miami, organized a support group for people with epilepsy
and their families.
If you have any knowledge of Fred or his whereabouts, please call one of
the numbers listed below. The privacy issue does not apply since his
father has been appointed by the Court as Fred's personal representative.
If you should speak to Fred, please ask him to call home. His family loves him
and needs him, and he is soon to become an uncle. Also tell him that his
father investigated the internship sites and understands how anyone could
have become demoralized in those circumstances.
