I have been doing experiments on Central interneurones in the Spinal cord
to study presynaptic Inhibition at its terminals. I am presently unable
to tackle an interesting issue which has come up.
We are unable to prove with clear cut evidence that the Depolarisation at
the terminals due to a stimulus is not necessarily due to an electrotonic
spread of EPSP from the cell body, as the cell appears to be synaptically
driven by the same pulse too.
Is there anyone with some bright ideas in this regard or have experienced
a similar prmblem earlier? I sahll be extremely grateful for your responses.
Thanking you
