What does "isontophorese" mean? (fwd)

This is just to let everybody know that the spelling error was mine and
not my professor's. 

I have the handout he gave us at home but my computer is here at school. 
I was going from memory of the word and somehow an "s" got added in when I
wrote the note to Lance with a Cc: to this list. 

I did it right on the gopher searches though, because <iontophor*> turned
up the post to this list by Lance back in January 1995 in which he was
looking for manufacturers of inotophoretic equipment.  Had I searched with
the keyword <isontophor*>, it would not have turned up. 

Sorry everyone.
