I am currently involved in a university project which deals with an
application using a holographic data storage chip capable of storing a
potential 100Gb in the foreseeable future.
The application I am dealing is an itelligent telescope in the astronomic
field, being able to locate star configurations using object/pattern
recognition, and storing information gained and comparing it to the
in-built catalogue. This allows vast amounts of information of the
star/planet/constellation to be accessed at great speeds in conjunction to
telescopic viewing.Holographic projection of the current view is also a
consideration.
Hence information I am requesting relate to:
* holographic data storage
* object/pattern recognition
* holographic projection
Relevance to the astronomical field and related information would also be
appreciated.
